Historically, there's two things we crave at night. One is ice cream, and the other is alcohol. The feeling of sadness that washes over us when we run to our freezer at night and neither are there is incomparable. Fear not Austinites, there's a place near you where you can get both in the nick of time. Prohibition Creamery in Austin has booze and ice cream plus more all in hand's reach. Start planning your trip now because you will not be disappointed.
Prohibition is on E. 7th Street, not far from the iconic 6th Street loaded with bars, and is open almost everyday of the week. Monday is the only day of the week they're closed, lucky for us. Tuesday through Friday they're open from 3 p.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday they're open from midnight to noon. There's never a bad time to stop by.
Their menu consists of ice cream with both boozy flavors and CBD-infused flavors. You can get scoops and sundaes with tons of delicious toppings including boozy brownie bites! If you haven't tried these yet, you're missing out. They also have milkshakes, floats, and cocktails for the classier of the bunch. These cold treats are exactly what we need before the Texas heat finally leaves us.
Austin has plenty of cool spots to visit that aren't just near 6th Street. If you're looking for something to do during the day before stopping by Prohibition Creamery, you're in luck. Jacob's Well is closing next month which means this is your last chance to experience the incredible tourist destination. Tourist or not, all of these locations and more are great spots to visit this summer.
