It's always a good idea to eat pizza anytime of the day, like when you're drunk at night and even when you're hungover the next morning. But usually on those types of occassions, and basically anytime you grab pizza with your friends, you end up wanting to share a large that just isn't enough. Well, Slapbox Pizzeria in Round Rock serves pizza bigger than a regular ole' large box and will be just enough to feed your entire crew.
At Slapbox, you can order their famous massive pizza box or just a slice that is literally the size of your head! Though it varies based on what pizza shop you eat at, usually a large runs from 14 to 16 inches in diameter. A whole pizza box (or pie as they like to call it) at Slapbox is 24 inches! For $30, you can top it with up to 4 toppings so a crew of four can basically get their topping of choice and in their own corner of the pizza.
If you aren't in the sharing mood, you can always just get a big slice for yourself at only $4.25. It will be as big as one slice out of their whole pie, which is cut up into 6 slices. You can get any of their signature slices up until 5 p.m., and only cheese or pepperoni afterwards until they close. I mean, those two are where it's at anyway.
Because they make the dough fresh daily, there is a wait time of up to 35 minutes when you order the whole pie. In the meantime, order up other items such as garlic knots, wings, and even pork shanks. They have plenty to choose from, even salads if you're trying to be healthy.
Open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays, the parlor also serves beer on tap so you are guaranteed to have a good pizza meal every day of the week. And if you're super into massive foods, we've found other great spots for you to check out in Texas. Not too far down the road is another big pizza joint in San Antonio.
