The Metroplex is filled with delicious treats and while we are close to having everything, there are still somethings that are getting here for the first time. Le Bon Temps is the first shop of its kind and it just opened over the weekend. The food joint serves French Quarter-style Beignets in Dallas.
A beignet is a deep-fried choux pastry, and this one can even be served as an ice cream sandwich. With the changing weather right now, there is no better time to stop by and get one. They have about six ice cream flavors to choose from. Treats start at $2 and work their way up to around $6.
The shop gives the nod to the French Quarter in Louisiana. And while they may bring treats from afar, the coffee beans they use in their brews are proudly local. The shop has several coffee creations to satisfy any taste buds. Some of the inventions are straight from New Orleans like their café au lait. All of these delicious treats were either super hard to get in the area before or they just didn't exist in the metroplex before now.
The shop is open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays. Whenever you choose to go you are sure to be taken to NOLA.
