It's definitely taken some time, but Texas is finally getting cold weather and after months of nothing but heat, we're ill-prepared. This is especially true for Texas' favorite island, which has thought of the ultimate solution for warming themselves up. Galveston's chili and beer fest is next month, and not only will all of the delicious chili keep attendees warm, but so will the endless beer and margaritas.
Yaga's Chili Quest and Beer Fest is on Saturday, January 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
That's right, you'll have all day to enjoy everything this festival has to offer, which is a lot.
This is the 11th time the fest has taken place in Galveston, and it wouldn't keep coming back if it wasn't something worth writing home over.
This year's festival will include chili sampling, live music, a washer pitching tournament, a jackpot margarita contest, and more.
Tickets range from $12 to $40 per person, and there are 5 packages to choose from.
You can get a chili tasting ticket for $12, chili and a bucket of beer for $15, GA beer tasting for $30, chili and beer tasting combo ticket for $39, and VIP beer tasting for $40.
Their website includes all of the details you'll need to know before purchasing your ticket, so go check it out!
Galveston is just a short drive from Houston, though we know it can be much longer depending on where in Texas you're from.
If you're dying to experience a fest with loads of food and drinks, there are no shortage of them in Texas.
