A Huge 2-Day Cajun Festival Is Coming To San Antonio This March
*Drools over the keyboard.*
There's always something fun happening in Texas and that's not going to change in 2020. A mouthwatering cajun food festival is coming to San Antonio in March so it's time to get excited. If you love a well-seasoned crawfish boil with sweet corn and tender potatoes, or some other creole delights, you'll have to attend this yummy 2-day event.
The Cajun Fest is happening March 7-8 at San Antonio Traders Village, a traditional venue where San Antonians can do some shopping at the market, enjoy fair games, and participate in a variety of unique events and festivals all year-round.
The fun will start at 12:30 p.m. and will extend until 4:30 in the afternoon. Live entertainment and music will also be a significant part of the fest.
Every year, the Traders Village announces a fresh lineup of music groups and performers for each day of the fest. The expected artists for this year are still to be announced, so stay tuned to their social platforms.
You can complement the fun with some authentic cajun dishes! Texas-style eats, a crawfish boil, gumbo, and shrimp skewers are among your food options at the fest.
Other food options will be available, including desserts, along with soft beverages and alcoholic drinks for 21+ attendees.
This is a free admission festival, and parking is only $4, so you can save most of your budget for the cajun feast.
You can start with a Crawfish Plate, consisting of a generous batch of crawfish served steamy with seasoned potatoes and corn for only $10.99.
If you are going to the fest with friends and family, take advantage of their best value offer of three Crawfish Plates for $29.99.
Other food options at the fest are the tasty Seafood & Sausage Gumbo served over steamed rice and crackers for $9.99, or the Grilled Shrimp Skewers for $6.99.
After your meal, you can go for a walk at The Traders Village, where more than 1,000 dealers sell their merch every weekend. The market has been active since 2011.
This is a serious open-air bargain hunters’ paradise where you can find anything, from jewelry and furniture to collectibles, boots, or even get a cartoon portrait of yourself.
But if you're not up for a shopping spree, you can get unlimited fair rides for $10.99. Attractions like The Fleafall, Pharaoh's Fury, or Bouncer will amuse both kiddies and grownups.
