You Can Actually Watch A Live Stream Of Baby Canada Geese And It's Adorable

As Canadians, we often have a love and hate relationship with our fellow Canada geese. While at times we find them absolutely adorable, especially during the spring when the babies start to hatch, other times they like to show their vicious side. Yet, despite how protective the mama's get over their babies, most Canadians can agree the babies are absolutely adorable to look at. Luckily, we live in an era of technology and live streams, and an Edmonton Hospital has set up a live stream of baby geese so we can watch them grow from the safety of our homes.

Edmonton's Royal Alexandra Hospital has created a Twitch live stream and the main stars are a family of six baby geese and their parents. According to the Huffington Post , the hospital got the idea to set up a live stream after two Canada geese, who were named Alex and Zandra, made the rooftop of the hospital their new home for their expecting babies.

The Alberta Health Services state that the goose family decided to move into the Ted and Lois Hole Healing Garden before having their kids. The babies that just hatched are now loving their new home at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, where it's staff is extending their maternity expertise to keep watch over these new babies. Canadians can now keep watch over them too, thanks to the livestream.

Alberta Health estimated that these babies would be hatching around mid-May and they were right. On Thursday, the six babies eggs began to crack and the most adorable yellow feathers appeared beneath the mama goose's wings.

Now, the babies are taking their first steps and learning how to waddle along with their mama as they start to explore the hospital grounds. As the stream continues, viewers will be able to watch these babies start to grow and become more mobile throughout the week.

During the birth of these adorable babies, the hospital has closed off the garden for both the safety of these new geese, but also for the safety of their staff (we all know how protective mother geese get over their babies).

According to Huffington Post, the hospital has also installed a ramp which will help the babies and their small legs waddle from their nest to the water.

Last month, the hospital held a contest for naming the babies and the winning names were Albert, George, Louise, Victoria, Maud, and Alexander. So make sure to spot all six of them on the steam.
