Edmonton Is Hosting A Cat Festival This Summer And It's Going To Be Purr-fect

Cat lovers you won't want to miss this event! The Edmonton International Cat Festival is coming this spring, and it's going be the ultimate spot to see adorable cats!

The Edmonton International Cat Festival is taking place on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 10 am to 5 pm at Robbins Health Learning Centre at MacEwan University. The event is the first cat festival of its kind in Canada and has been taking place since 2014.

At Cat Fest, there will be everything cat related from hilarious cat videos, vendors selling cat-related products, and even cats available for adoption! Inside the festival, there will be several rescue booths that will have cats and kittens available so you can get a new fluffy member to your family!

Make sure to buy your tickets in advance, to save money. Tickets to the festival are $15 in advance when purchased online or $20 at the door. All the proceeds from the festival go towards local cat charities so you can feel good knowing your money is going towards a great cause. Since the festival has started, it has raised $81,000 to help cats in need!

One fun way to get involved at Cat Fest is by entering the Edmonton's Most Purr-fect Cat Photo Contest. To take part you need to submit four photos of your cat in the following categories: formal, swimsuit, every day, and a picture of your cat with a note on how they would make the world a better place. If you win, you'll not only get bragging rights, but you'll get a cat-themed prize package too!
