Epic New Arcade Bar Is Opening First-Ever Location In Edmonton This Month (PHOTOS)

What could be the coolest bar ever is officially coming to Edmonton this September. GRETA Bar is perfect for date night or a hangout spot with friends because this bar has it all. GRETA Bar is opening in Edmonton this month so you can play over 50 vintage games from your childhood while having a beer or two.

In case you haven’t heard of it, GRETA Bar is the perfect place to let your inner child out! Filled with nostalgic games, good food, drinks, and a positive atmosphere, this place is the perfect environment to spend an evening or two. The games will include all your favourites like Mario Cart, Pac Man, and Space Invaders.

As of now, the bars only location is in Calgary at 213 10 Ave. But after it's roaring success, the owner save decided to expand and thankfully, we will benefit from it.

On Friday, Sept. 20, your soon to be new favourite bar will open up in Edmonton at 10141 109 Street NW. Mark your calendars because you won't want to miss this. Now, all we have to do is patiently wait. By the looks of the bar, you can tell it's an adult playground and a dream come true!

Let's start with the interior. This bar is beyond cool in so many ways. Right when you walk in you will see bright neon colours radiating from all your favourite games.

The 9000 square-foot facility will also be paired with a covered patio so you can live out the rest of the summer in style.

Inside, seating is limited, but that was the intention. Why would you sit down when there is so much to see and do?

The purpose is to have guests up and about mingling and engaging with the games around them. There are over 50 interactive arcade games in the building so prepare yourself.

And don’t even get us started on the food. GRETA's founder, Chris Decock, is also the founder of Hudson’s Canada’s Pub. So needless to say, he knows a thing or two about creating a great space with awesome food.

The resident chef has designed a unique menu that will have everything from global street food to foods that reflect “Edmonton’s culinary scene.” With an emphasis on supporting local and fresh ingredients, you can feel good about what you’re eating.

The drinks are also worth going for. While you play games, you can sip away on a wide variety of craft beer and super fun sharable cocktails!

It’s not opening up until Friday, Sept. 20 so until then, check out some of the other bars around Edmonton.
