Ice On Whyte Is Coming Back To Edmonotn Next Month & Tickets Are On Sale Now

If you’re a fan of all things winter then you better pay attention. A wicked annual event is coming back to Edmonton and tickets are on sale now. The famous Ice on Whyte festival is back and will be completely transforming Edmonton into a winter wonderland this January. The wonderful part is, tickets are super cheap.

In case you don’t know what this event is all about, let us break all the cool (freezing, actually) things down for you.

This annual event brings in some incredible entrainment and completely transforms Edmonton's Whyte Avenue into a magical land that looks like something out of Narnia.

The 17th annual Ice on Whyte event will be running for 11 days next month, so you've got plenty of time to check it out.

From January 23 to February 2, 2020, you can take in some below zero attractions including ice carving competitions, ice bars, and even a super-speedy ice slide that is just as fun as it sounds.

If you've never gone to Ice on Whyte, you’re missing out. It is seriously a winter bucket list activity. Thankfully, it's back for another unforgettable year.

Tickets are on sale right now, and you should probably grab yours. Trust us when we say it is the perfect date idea. It’s both romantic and interactive. Not to mention, there are tons of adorable photo opportunities.

Known as one of the world’s biggest ice festivals, Ice on Whyte caters to all things cold.

The highlight of the festival is the notorious ice carving competition. For this heated event, 10 teams from around the world will be gassing up their chain saws to create masterpieces out of ice.

From massive Galapagos turtles to dinosaur skeletons, it has all been done and it only gets better every year.

These larger than life sculptures are something to marvel at and they will tower over you as you stroll through to check out the action.

Once you’re done there, check out the ice bar. You’ll need something to warm up after all this chilly winter fun. Even though the climate-controlled bar has a temperature of -2 C, you will be feeling all warm and cozy thanks to their delicious drinks.

If you get hungry, no worries. Every year there's a yummy stew-off that tastes even better than it sounds.

Here, local restaurants and chefs will compete to create the best beer stew. If you attend the event on Sunday, February 2 you will be able to taste all five creations.

We consider that a win.

The event also has a glorious ice slide.

Take a seat on the cold surface and feel like a kid again as you rip down the gigantic slide. You know you want to.

Tickets are on sale now and they are only $7.

Within your ticket price is another complimentary ticket to come back! Therefore, you can go twice for the price of one ticket.

Tickets are available now through the Ice on Whyte website. Don’t wait long, you wouldn’t want to miss out on all the frozen action.
