Life in Edmonton is about to get a whole lot sweeter! Made By Marcus announced today that they're officially opening a location in Edmonton later this year. Their natural, handcrafted ice cream has a cult following in Calgary plus a whopping 33.7k followers on Instagram! That's a lot of ice cream fans.

Their ice cream ranges from simple classics in a waffle cone to outrageous sundaes topped with pink cotton candy and sprinkled unicorn horns, so there's something for everyone! Remember when you were a kid and you'd get bubble gum or cotton candy in wildly unnatural shades of blue and pink that would change the colour of your tongue? Yeah, this ice cream is way, way better than that stuff because they use natural ingredients (AKA no chemical food dyes) to create supernatural flavours!

No word yet on what their offerings will be at the Edmonton location, but in Calgary, their spots serve ice cream, soft serve, take-home pints, sundaes and ice cream cakes. Here's a list of some of their ice cream flavours right now to give you a taste of what you're in for:

  • Tahitian Vanilla Bean
  • Whisky Hazelnut Praline
  • Cookies and Cream
  • Lemon Curd Wild Blueberry
  • The Rockies
  • Vegan Chocolate Fudge Brownie
  • Pork Rinds & Smoky Caramel
  • Avocado Crema & Tamale Fudge
  • Vegan Meyer Lemon & Chamomile
  • Toasted Oak & Pickled Strawberry
  • Mr. Fujioka's Matcha Tea
  • Vegan Huckleberry Lavender
  • Roasted Strawberry Buttermilk
  • Wild Mint Chip
  • Vegan Salted Caramel Cashew Date

While the Edmonton location might not offer all of these flavours and some of them might be seasonal, I think that it gives you a good idea of what you can expect from comforting classics like Cookies and Cream to wildly inventive flavours like Pickled Strawberry!
