It's safe to say that drive-thru employees have seen some wild stuff over the years. On the list of memorable interactions is this Alberta father-and-son duo decided to do things a little differently. An Edmonton duo went through a Tim Hortons drive-thru in a kids' car and luckily for us, the entire thing was caught on video. If you need a reason to smile today, you've officially found it.
The video clip has gone viral on TikTok. It was posted on Sunday, May 3 and has already racked up about 951,200 views on the platform.
The video begins with a camera panning over a man sitting in the passenger seat of the smallest red car you can imagine. The footage is being recorded in the vehicle that's right behind the red car in the drive-thru line-up.
The shot zooms in on the car and you can see that a blond-haired kid is in the drivers seat of the little red vehicle.
All of us either had or were jealous of someone who had one of these cool, realistic cars when we were kids.
The next shot of the video sees the kids' car pull up to one of the drive-thru windows, and the boy is seen reaching out of his car to tap his card on the machine provided by the employee.
The whole video is set to the song "You've Got A Friend In Me (Karaoke Version)" from the movie Toy Story, which adds some serious nostalgia to this entire encounter.
The user has captioned the video "Cutest thing I have ever seen."
The last hashtag does confirm that it took place in a Tim Hortons drive-thru. Narcity has reached out to Tim Hortons for comment and this article will be updated when we receive a response.
In the comment section, you will find that everyone is totally in love with how this father and son decided to go about their drive-thru journey.
The poster also confirms in the comments that this took place in Edmonton, specifically a Tim Hortons location in the Lessard neighbourhood of the city.
So if you live in the area and you see a red mini-car rolling through local drive-thrus, it might just be these TikTok sensations.
Some of the comments nail down the emotions we're all collectively feeling as we watch the video.
"Omg my heart!!! Literally crying," said one user.
Someone said, "Epically Canadian," and seeing how 2,895 people liked that comment, we can bet that people certainly agreed.
Another user said, "This is the best thing I've seen haha award to the best dad goes to!"
While the world may be a little different right now, there are still heartwarming and hilarious things happening every day.
