The baby boy is home! New parents Elon Musk and Grimes are back home with their newborn X Æ A-12 after he was welcomed to the world last week. The Canadian singer recently shared video footage of her partner cuddling their baby and it will totally melt your heart.

The couple welcomed their little one on May 4, and Musk quickly shared photos and the unique name with fans on Twitter.

For days, the internet debated over how exactly to pronounce the three-part long name.

During a recent podcast interview with Joe Rogan, Musk explained, "It's just X, the letter X. And then the Æ is pronounced ash. And then A-12 is my contribution. Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71, coolest plane ever."

However, it seems the couple haven't yet agreed on the pronunciation since Grimes replied to a recent Instagram comment and explained how to say the baby's name.

"It’s just X, like the letter X. Then A.I. Like how you said the letter A then I," the 32-year-old Canadian wrote.

Though you might still be confused about how exactly to pronounce his name, you might just forget about your puzzlement when you see how adorable the newborn is.

Grimes posted a video on her Instagram story showing Musk lying in bed cuddling the naked baby on his chest. Towards the end of the clip, the Vancouver-born singer zooms in so you can see the tiny newborn close up.

Feeling that baby fever? Grandmother Maye Musk shared a photo of her son and grandchild in honour of Mother's Day, congratulating Grimes for celebrating her first holiday as a new mom.

Her son replied back telling her he loves her.

The Tesla CEO, who's known for his internet trolling, did exactly that when Grimes broke down X Æ A-12's name on Twitter.

Explaining each part of the baby's name, she wrote, "X, the unknown variable. Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence). A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat)."

The 48-year-old replied, "SR-71, but yes", and new mom Grimes wrote back, "I am recovering from surgery and barely alive so may my typos b forgiven but, damnit. That was meant to be profound".

This is Grimes' first child, and Musk's seventh son. He shares five sons, a set of twins and triplets, with his ex-wife Justine Musk (née Wilson). Their first son died of sudden infant death syndrome in 2002.
