Grimes Confirms Her Son's Name With Elon Musk & You May Not Be Able To Pronounce It

Sound it out! Elon Musk and Grimes' baby boy was born on May 4, and the Tesla CEO gave a glimpse at what he looks like as well as his name. However, it wasn't until now that fans found out if Musk was joking or not. Turns out, he was being serious!

In a tweet, someone asked Musk what his son's name was. He replied, "X Æ A-12 Musk", which got 1.9k replies, all of which had mixed reactions.

However, Grimes seems to have confirmed that X Æ A-12 is, in fact, the baby's name, and even gave an explanation on what it means.

The Vancouver-born star's tweet reads, "•X, the unknown variable•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) •A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat)."

If you're confused about the pronunciation of the boy's name, you're not alone. However, E! News recently uploaded a video of how to sound it out.

We may have to wait for the new parents to give us a tutorial, though.

Musk hasn't shied away from Twitter after the birth of his son. In a new tweet, someone asked the engineer if there was any "news on baby?" to which he replied, "Happy, healthy & cute as a button :)." Aw!

The couple has a long history. Their relationship dates back to 2018 when they reportedly met on Twitter. They made their first appearance as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala.

It was revealed back in January that the 32-year-old was expecting, and she shared in an interview with Rolling Stone that Musk was the father in March.

Although this is the couple's first child together, Musk has had six other children with his ex-wife Justine Musk.
