Movie lovers, this one is for you. Depending on where you live, you can get back to watching flicks in theatres for a discounted price! Cineplex reopening is happening in five provinces on Friday and you can get tickets for just $5. On July 3, a bunch of Cineplex theatres will reopen across the country and welcome back movie-goers. Across the five provinces, 16 spots will open their doors, get the popcorn popping and queue up films. Scotiabank Theatre in St. John's is letting people in again in Newfoundland on Friday. Two spots in Nova Scotia will also reopen on that day, Cineplex Cinemas Dartmouth Crossing and Scotiabank Theatre in Halifax. In New Brunswick, three theatres are reopening in Dieppe, Fredericton and Saint John. Quebec reigns supreme with the most spots getting back into business on Friday. There are some in Brossard, Kirkland, Laval, Montreal, Ste. Foy and Sherbrooke. Cineplex Cinemas Southland in Regina and Cineplex Cinemas at The Centre in Saskatoon are reopening in Saskatchewan as well on July 3. To celebrate the reopenings and welcome movie lovers again, Cineplex is offering $5 tickets and showing popular movies that you might not have been able to see in theatres. That includes flicks like Bloodshot, The Invisible Man, Sonic The Hedgehog, Jumanji: The Next Level, Bad Boys For Life, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, The Way Back and I Still Believe. Every theatre has reduced its capacity and will have reserved seating so there's enough space between you and others when watching a movie. No cash will be allowed so you'll have to pay by debit or credit card. Concessions are limited to popcorn and other movie-going classics. Hand sanitizer will also be available throughout theatres. Cineplex reopened some theatres in Alberta on June 26 including three in Calgary. All of the 13 other locations in the province will reopen on July 3. The theatre company had planned to let people back in to watch movies in B.C. this Friday as well but there has been no official confirmation of that happening yet. If you're not ready to head back to theatres just yet, you can still get Cineplex concessions favourites and movie rentals delivered to you.
