18 Places To Go In Edmonton If You Have A Serious Sweet Tooth
The sweetest thing you'll read all day.

Regardless of how healthy we may try to be/or how healthy we keep telling ourselves we will one day be, most of us can’t help but stare longingly at the cupcakes and cookies that manage to catch our eyes wherever we go (or perhaps it’s just wherever I go).
But there’s really no harm in having a delicious treat once in a while (or 4 times a week, right?). And in Edmonton, we have our fair share of dessert options seemingly everywhere (testing my non-existent self-control every day). So, when your sweet tooth is craving something…sweet (I’m clearly not funny), head out to these wonderful places in the city, and you’re guaranteed to find something scrumptious.
Wild Earth Bakery and Café // 10423 101 Street NW (multiple locations)
Wild Earth offers desserts that are so delicious, that it makes me SO happy that they have more than one location (making it much easier to indulge my sweet tooth, regardless of where I am in the city). Their "scratch-baked" recipes will not disappoint.
Crave // 7929 104 St NW
It's easy to see why this bakery has made its mark over the prairies. I still dream about the "Nutty Over Chocolate" cupcake. Their cupcakes are ? (when words can't describe how you feel, use an emoji).
Flirt Cupcakes // 10158 82 Ave NW
Since we're on the topic of cupcakes, this is another place in Edmonton that will seriously satisfy your sweet tooth. Their menu offers tonnes of creative and delicious cupcake flavours. So much yes. So much yum.
Block 1912 // 10361 82 Ave NW
Their pistachio cake has the ability to instantly improve my day. They offer a variety of desserts that you should really make a point to try. There's a reason why this place is often crowded.
Vi’s for Pies // 13408 Stony Plain Rd NW
They had me at pies. But seriously, this place is definitely worth a visit. With so many dessert options, you're bound to find something that will make you happy-cry (great desserts deserve an overreaction).
Whimsical Cake Studio // 8716 109 St NW, Edmonton
I can't rave about this place enough. They make beautiful custom cakes, and tonnes of tasty treats that you can pick up when you're in the area. The Tea Girl also sells a lot of goodies from Whimsical, so you can enjoy their desserts over there as well.
Bon Ton Bakery // 8720 149 St NW
This Bakery has been in Edmonton for a very long time. When you visit (which I highly suggest you do), you will immediately be able to see the reason for it's long-term success. There's so many options here for your sugar-loving/craving/wanting/needing taste buds.
Duchess Bake Shop // 10718 124 St NW
Duchess Bake Shop consistently ranks as the favourite go-to spot for desserts in Edmonton. If you haven't tried this place out already, you are missing out on something special. I truly cannot even write about them without wanting to drop everything I'm doing, and head over there ASAP.
Fife N' Dekel // 9114 51 Ave NW (multiple locations)
Craving pies? Then head over to a Fife N' Dekel location! You deserve to treat yourself (or,'treat yo'self'--whichever speaks more to your heart).
Upper Crust Café and Caterers // 10909 86 Ave NW
The desserts are wonderful here. It's definitely a great option if you're in the area, and craving something sweet ??
The Art of Cake // Edmonton City Centre
This place is not just for wedding cakes (although, if you're in the market for one, you should check them out). I truly had the best scone here, and I'll have to go back to try their cupcakes. I suggest you do the same!
Cafe Mosaics // 10844 82 Ave NW
This vegan/vegetarian restaurant has some unreal dessert options. I went there once for brunch, and got a bunch of desserts instead (I have no self-control, and have the eating habits of a child). I have no regrets.
Remedy // 10279 Jasper Ave (multiple locations)
You know what goes great with chai? Cake. Pies. Pastries. I can go on, but I'm sure you get the point. Remedy offers up plenty of choices for when your sweet tooth needs some love and attention.
Sugarbowl // 10922 88th Ave
Are you a fan of cinnamon buns? Are you a fan of happiness? Well, you really need to head out to Sugarbowl, and try out their cinnamon bun. It's amazing. I give it 5 out of 5 lollipop emojis ????? (and yes, I initially attempted to use cinnamon bun emojis...turns out they don't exist).
Highlevel Diner // 10912 88 Ave NW
Highlevel Diner also serves a fantastic cinnamon bun (arguably, the best!). Their muffins are wonderful as well. You really need to to go here if you're in the mood for either of these things. You won't be let down.
The Cheesecake Café // 17011 100 Avenue NW (multiple locations)
I think I'm always in the mood for cheesecake. And this place definitely fills the cheesecake-shaped void in my heart.
The Woodrack Café // 7603 109 St NW #101
Their oatmeal whoopie pie is what dreams are made of. They offer so many outstanding dessert options to go along with a really great coffee. I highly recommend this place!
Moonshine Doughnuts // various pop-up locations
Why you gotta play so hard to get Moonshine? Maybe that's part of the allure. The other part being the fact that these doughnuts are SO. DAMN. GOOD (I apologize for yelling). But anyways, to partake in this godly creation, check out their website and find out where and when their next pop-up location will be.
