Let’s be honest, poutine might just be one of the best dishes to ever come out of Canada, but it’s certainly not the cutest thing to look at. Until now, that is. A brand new restaurant in Ottawa is giving the classic dish a makeover and it’s almost too pretty to eat. Aiana is set to open its doors on April 20. The new spot will be serving up a wide range of classic dishes, served with a dash of luxury. From their unique golden take on poutine to croissant burgers topped with caviar, you’re sure to find something that tickles your tastebuds here. Even the bread bowl is deliciously fancy. Freshly baked sourdough and cultured butter... need I say more? The restaurant, located on O’Connor St., prides itself on using Canadian food products, some of which can actually be found growing wild in the capital. Talk about eating local. Almost as gorgeous as the seasonally-inspired dishes is the glorious interior of this place. With emerald green seating and subtle touches of gold, this spot is practically dripping in elegance. If you’re on the hunt for somewhere with good vibes and even better food, you need to pay a visit to Aiana this spring. View this post on Instagram Hearty, flavourful, and distinctly Canadian. At a recent menu tasting event, Aiana featured taffy on ice for dessert. Sounds pretty delicious, eh? Official menus and prices have not yet been announced, but you can get a sneak-peek of the taffy dessert and other secret items in their Instagram gallery.
