We all know that Ottawa’s poutine scene is one of the strongest in the game. So it should come as no surprise that Ottawa Poutine Fest is a huge hit in the capital each year, with residents and visitors alike lining up for the traditionally Canadian treat. Well, this year, the festival is adding more vendors, more flavours, and more fun and games to ensure the 2020 event is the cheesiest one yet. The first Poutine Fest of the decade will be the fifth year that the event's gravy train has been rolling, and the people behind it are pulling out all the stops this year. The festival's "Big Cheese," director Les Gagne, spoke with Narcity to let us in on a few of the expected changes. Most importantly, the festival will be expanding its poutine selection by bringing in different food trucks from out-of-town. “We are bringing in four, maybe five, new poutiners from out of town to spice up this year's poutine offerings..." Gagne told Narcity. "We are also planning to raise the number of poutine choices to 120 with a new focus on the gravy train." 120 choices? That'll be poutine us on our back if we're not careful. You can also expect an extended Market Vendor Village, more live entertainment, and a new World of Poutine competition, Gagne explains. So, are you hungry to know what's new this year? Don’t worry, we’ve got you! Simply take a look at the list of debuting poutine sellers below and get ready for some mouthwatering content.
