Who doesn't love cheesecake? Mark your calendars because the famous cheesecake shop, Uncle Tetsu, has just announced this opening date! Uncle Tetsu in Ottawa will be opening this Friday, July 26 at 280D Elgin Street.
In Ottawa,will be in the former location of Boko Bakery on Elgin. They will open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The extended store hours is perfect for when you have a late-night craving for cheesecake!
For the grand opening this Friday, Uncle Tetsu will have a limit of one cake per person, to make sure they don't sell out! On Uncle Tetsu's Facebook Page, they suggest that you arrive early on July 26 so that you don't wait in line for too long.
Uncle Tetsu's original bakery began in Fukuoka, Japan before expanding across Asia and to Canada. They are known for light and fluffy cheesecakes, which are creamier than a New York cheesecake.
At this Japanese bakery chain, you must try their original seven-inch cheesecake, which is their signature dish! They also have a variety of other delicious baked goods available like honey madeleines, cheese tarts, and twice-baked cheesecake biscuits.
At the Japanese Summer Festival in Ottawa last weekend, locals enjoyed an early preview of the original cheesecake. The cheesecakes drew a massive crowd, with many who were eager to get a bite! Those who were lucky enough to try the original cheesecake raved about how delicious it was.
