Starbucks' Summer Menu Launches Today & There's 3 New Drinks (VIDEO)
It's happening, people!
Summer is officially on the horizon! Just in time for the warm weather, Starbucks has announced that their summer menu has finally returned to Canada. Featuring “Iced Guava” and “Golden Ginger,” this Starbucks summer drinks menu could be the tastiest one yet.
As of May 21, you’ll be able to get your hands on three new drinks in Starbucks locations across Canada, as well as some favourites from.
In a press release sent to Narcity, the company confirmed that their new lineup of summer flavours would be dropping on Thursday, which is perfect timing for anybody who’s been seriously missing their Starbucks fix.
The new beverages are described in the release as “bright and cheerful,” and it’s not hard to see why.
The first new refreshment is the Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink, which is described as being a smooth and fruity, caffeine-free option.
According to Starbucks, it “combines flavours of guava, passionfruit, pineapple and ginger, hand-shaken with coconut milk and ice.”
In addition, the Iced Pineapple Matcha will also be featured, which is “made with premium matcha green tea with flavours of pineapple and ginger, shaken with coconut milk and ice.”
It’s described as “an island escape in a cup.” Dreamy!
If that wasn’t enough, there’s one more uplifting option available.
The “Iced Golden Ginger Drink” combines ginger, pineapple and turmeric flavours, and is shaken up with coconut milk and ice.
Described by Starbucks as “a cup of sunshine,” this one is worth trying just for the summer vibes.
Don’t worry caffeine fiends, you haven’t been forgotten. Alongside their newer refreshments, some classic summer favourites will also be making a comeback, including the S’mores, Mocha Cookie Crumble and Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccinos.
All of these beverages will be available from Thursday onwards, and you’ll now be able to order via the new Starbucks app.
The app allows coffee-lovers to find a nearby location, check store hours, order in advance, and make contactless payments. You can then pick up your order from a barista at the door, or via the drive-thru.
The summer drinks will be available at locations across Canada for a limited time and while supplies last.
Last month, the company revealed that they werelocations across Canada, with intentions to restart almost all operations by the end of May.
After partially, the company is now trialling new measures on a community-by-community basis.
Among these new measures are regular "wellness checks" for employees, which includes having their temperature checked before each shift.
Plexi-glass shields are being installed at all points of service, and cafes will be cleaned and sanitized constantly.
Starbucks has said that they hope to reopen almost all locations in Canada by the end of May.
Until then, these refreshing summer drinks are available for delivery.
