6 Brand New Restaurants In Toronto You Need To Visit Before They're Old News
Mo food, less problems.
Are we still on that whole "There's nothing to eat" game?! In a city as big as Toronto, that excuse just doesn't work. Especially when it seems like new restaurants open up daily. There is nothing wrong with being picky about where you eat, but new restaurants open up for you to try them. So branch out!
These restaurants have just recently opened up, and they're already huge hits. Keep in mind that trying things first will make you super cool, so make all of your friends jealous by trying the newest restaurants in town before them! Or bring your next date to one of these spots. You'll be sure to impress them.

Good Hombres will make it so easy to have Taco Tuesday every day of the week (except on Mondays because they're closed). This taqueria and tortilleria is the newest addition to the Mexican food scene in Toronto, and it's so delicious. Everything is so fresh at Good Hombres that you really won't feel bad for coming back here multiple times a week.
Their tacos go for $3.75 each, which makes it a steal. Even better? Their tortillas are homemade from scratch in store! So when I say fresh, I mean fresh. They have every type of taco you could ever want, so head on over here and experience it for yourself.

Remember when you were young and would make lemonade and then sell it for 25 cents? Well, this place is like the grown-up version of that. First of all, before you walk in you'll notice how adorable this restaurant is. Open for breakfast and lunch, Sophie's is basically everything you could want and more.
Could you even go here without getting a lemonade? On the menu, they have regular lemonade, charcoal lemonade, and even a mimosa lemonade. Yes, please! Aside from drinks, they have classic items but with a twist. The favourite? Obviously the lemon ricotta pancakes!

This restaurant isn't new, but they have a brand new location that you need to try out. The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles is a staple in Toronto. If you've never tried it ... why?! They have two other locations but a third on Bloor St. just opened up and we're ready for it!
Maybe you're not familiar with The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles restaurants, but that definitely needs to change. They have crazy twists on chicken and waffles, making sandwiches out of the two, and even putting in the most random ingredients that taste the best. Also, to all my gluten-free friends, their batter is completely gluten-free. Yay!

Regulars is going to be your new go-to spot for food, drinks, and a fun time. Not only is their restaurant stunning and unlike anything else, but their menu!!!! Let's talk about their menu. From appetizers such as loaded vegan poutine to mains such as all day breakfast, mac and cheese lasagna, to sandwiches like a poke wrap. Clearly, Regulars has been doing its research on the food trends.
Newly opened in September, Regulars has become quite the hotspot. Can you blame them? I mean, for dessert they sell PB and J eggrolls. And I know you're wondering. Their drink menu is massive, and they even have something called beer sangria which is absolutely delicious (it's cider, not really beer, in case you were worried).

Imagine the best pizza ever, and then imagine that pizza being served out of an all pink shop. I mean, what could be better? Blondies Pizza is an adorable new restaurant that specializes in pizza, but they also serve soft serve ice cream! They let you choose from three options of what kind of pizza you would like: Red, which has tomato sauce and mozzarella; Blonde, which has alfredo sauce and mozzarella; and Pink which you can customize completely. They also have a few pre-made pizzas to choose from.
No matter what pizza you choose, you'll love it. They also have gluten-free crust available too! Blondies pizzas range from $13 to $17 for a 13-inch pizza, which is actually very good! Their soft serve flavours also change.

There are so many restaurants in Toronto that it's really hard to keep up with all the new ones. Especially if they are hidden underneath a hotel ... The Templar Hotel to be exact. But, we always say that hidden gems are hidden for a reason! A super hipster thing to say, but when you find a great place, you don't want everyone to know about it. That's how we feel about Mother Tongue.
Mother Tongue is an Asian fusion bar/restaurant that you must check out. Not only is the decor great and fun, but their food is to die for. Their menu is split up into small plates and large plates, and you will not be disappointed in any of the options. From pan-fried dumplings to short ribs, this will be your new fav place to hide out.
