Frankie Tomatto's Is Giving Out Free Pizzas This Weekend Before Closing Forever
It's time to visit one last time.
It's happening. Toronto's most iconic Italian buffet has announced that it is closing after 25 years. But before they go, they will be giving away free pizzas at Frankie Tomatto's as a parting gift.
The announcement that the venue would be closing forever was made on their Facebook page on Wednesday.
"After 25 years, 11 million meals served and countless memories we step closing our doors," it says.
Before they go, the longstanding buffet restaurant that looks just like the leaning tower of Pisa will be handing out tokens of appreciation in the form of free pizza on Saturday, August 29.
"As a thank you to all our customers over the years, we will be giving away free pizzas in our parking lot," says the post.
The pizzas will be given away with a limit of one per car, and will also come with a surprise souvenir gift while their supplies last.
You can drive up to their location at Steeles and Woodbine from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. to grab yourself a pizza from Frankie Tomatto's one last time.
The post also says that they will be donating a dollar from every car to their favourite charity, Easter Seals.
The well-known Italian buffet announced back in March that they would be closing due to COVID-19, but they did not decide to do so indefinitely until now.
Their announcement stated that "we look forward to serving you again when we re-open."
Unfortunately, to get back to work when stage three arrived.
