Toronto is home to so many delicious and over-the-top burger spots that we never have to search too far to satisfy our cravings. You're going to want to work up an appetite because a drool-worthy burger pop-up is coming our way. Toronto's Burger Drops pop-up is opening this October and it's serving all-you-can-eat burgers!\nBurger Drops is a Toronto-based pop-up specializing in classic cheeseburgers. What began as friends grilling together in a backyard grew into a successful pop-up offering locals delicious, old-school burgers. They've dropped nearly two-thousand burgers to date, and they're about to drop more on October 5, 2019.\nBurger Drops has confirmed to Narcity that they are 100% a pop-up series, as opposed to a physical pop-up joint that operates as a brick and mortar.*\nView this post on Instagram About a year ago, @gregbourolias - Sous Chef at one of my favourite restaurants in the city: @aloette_restaurant - started telling me about the origin of the “slider.” Not actually just a mini burger but rather a small smashed patty made with a specific combination of ingredients; including onions and pickles - sold for no more than $1. While serving me an intricate chocolate sundae he’d created following a meal of cheddar potato bread, whipped foie gras, truffle agnolotti and the ultimate wedge salad; he spoke about these processed cheese-topped burgers with passion and a light in his eyes. He told me to stay tuned for more information on these burgers that he’d been casually feeding to friends and family. A year and almost 2,000 burgers later, he’s serving up some of Toronto’s best classic, smashed cheeseburgers; where everything from the paper-thin onion crusted patty to the crunchy, peppery pickles, spiced mayo and cloud-like potato buns are thoughtfully combined together for the perfect “slider.” Follow @burgerdrops to find out where they’ll be dropping next. || The Special || Smashed Beef Patty | American Cheese | Grilled Onions | Pickles | Special Mayo | Potato Roll | #burgerdrops #foodintheair #summer #toronto • • • • #beef #cheeseburger #hamburger #pickles #bigmac #tastetoronto #burgersto #burgers #torontofood #photooftheday #eatfamous #foodvideos #eeeeeats #foodbeast #foodmarketing #restaurantmarketing #thechewreview #tasty #416 #eats #lovefood #eater A post shared by The Chew Review (@thechewreview) on Aug 17, 2019 at 7:39am PDT\nThis will be the fourth Burger Drops event in Toronto, and the food isn't even the most exciting thing about it!
