Don't read this article if you haven't had lunch yet because it's going to make you hungry. Tacofino's new location in Vancouver is opening this fall. We are beyond excited and as always, we have all the info you need to know!
Try to contain your excitement as we relay to you all the important info! According to an email sent by Tacofino to Narcity, the new location will be opening up at 1909 West 4th Avenue.
No opening date has been specified, however, they have confirmed it will be sometime this September.
“We’ve always been asked when we’re going to finally introduce Tacofino to the West Side of Vancouver,” says co-founder Jay Sussman, “so we’re grateful to be able to become a part of the Kits community this fall.”
But seriously, if you haven't gone to this, you're missing out.
Tacofino was originally started by Sussman and Michelin-starred Regional Executive Chef Stefan Hartmann. Their humble beginning brought Baja-inspired food to the sleepy surfer town of Tofino 10 years ago!
Flash forward to now, the household name has opened up seven brick-and-mortar restaurants in Vancouver and Victoria as well as an entire fleet of food trucks that travel around Vancouver five days a week.
Their latest spot will be in a 1,985 square-foot space in the heart of Kitsilano. It will feature counter service, dine-in and take-out options from their classic menu.
According to Scout Magazine, the facility will have 38 seats including banquettes and high top tables.
Along with the iconic decor will be a few new menu items including Maui pork pastor, tuna burritos, child cheese taquitos, as well as a new rice mix with lime.
We know that good things take time, but hopefully, the grand opening isn’t that far away! Reps say that they hope to open the doors by late September. In the meantime, you can check out one of Vancouver’s 10 other Tacofino locations.
