Vancouver Just Got A New ‘Sushi Grocery Store’ & It's Like A Trip To Japan
Let the good times roll. 🍣

Wishing you could book a trip to Osaka? Vancouver's new sushi grocery store is as close as you can get right in Canada.
Sashimiya is chef Takayuki Omi's newly opened Japanese grocery store at 1348 Hornby Street.
It's a shop that will let people get the "highest quality Japanese fish, as well as grocery and snack items," said Omi in a press release.
The freshly renovated 600 square foot space carries made-to-order rolls and sushi platters, starting at $6.50.
When ordering, you can even customize your dish, and the staff will slice the fish just how you like it.
Inside, you can also find everything you need to cook at home, from rice, Kewpie mayonnaise, instant ramen, and flavour packed furikake (a topping for your rice).
Before you go, make sure to stock up delicious snacks like Pocky and unique flavoured candies.
It is open Tuesday to Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and an online store will be launching this winter.
