The critics and the public don't often see eye to eye. For example, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a critic rating of just 54% but an audience rating of 86%. So when Yelp's top 100 restaurants in Canada were revealed we took notice because these are the places that real people actually love.

According to Yelp, their lists of the best spots to eat in Canada include places that ranked exceptionally high in 2019 in the eyes of the Yelp community.

Plus, this list isn't just a ranking of the most expensive and fanciest restaurants in Canada. It actually includes cheap eats, mom and pop shops and authentic hidden spots that locals love.

A Vancouver restaurant placed #1 on that list and we're going to check it out the next time we're craving Lebanese.

Manoush'eh is right downtown on Davie Street and it has a five-star rating with over 170 reviews.

They make authentic Lebanese flatbreads called Manousheh. They're a breakfast and street food staple and they're topped with things like hummus, meat, veggies, cheese and more. There are even sweet ones with Nutella.

They're almost like a mini breakfast pizza and we're amazed that the top-rated place to eat in the entire country is right here in Vancouver.

If you've never tried one before then you have to get the original.

It's a straight-up disc of dough that they bake fresh and it's dusted with zaatar โ€” a middle eastern herbaceous mix of wild thyme, sumac, sesame seeds and oil.

Not only are their Manousheh off the chain delicious, but they're also super affordable, too.

These will make a great snack before you're headed to catch a movie or after a day spent walking on the seawall.

Plus, you need to try their cheese pie. It tastes even better than it looks and you will be hard-pressed to find this at any other restaurant in the city.

Check out the full Yelp list on their blog.
