Mr. Grey will see you now. Although the 50 Shades trilogy came to an end back in 2018 with the release of the final movie, a new film has caught the attention of the franchise’s fans. 365 Days was added to Netflix earlier this month, and it’s being called “more hardcore” than 50 Shades of Grey.

The film follows Massimo, a Sicilian mobster who becomes enticed by a Polish tourist named Laura who’s vacationing in the area.

Accustomed to getting what he wants, Massimo takes Laura prisoner and tells her that she has to give him 365 days to make her fall in love with him.

As it turns out, Laura caught Massimo’s eye long before her Italian vacation. He was actually spying on her five years earlier and happened to become obsessed.

Much like 50 Shades, the film contains plenty of hardcore BDSM scenes between Massimo and Laura as their relationship develops.

“Each sex scene in this movie is different. The relationship evolves. It starts with fear of the unknown and temptation. It evolves through pure sex with BDSM and ends with love,” Bartek Cierlica, the film’s cinematographer told Variety.

365 Days is based on the novel 365 Dni by Polish author Blanka Lipińska. The book series is a trilogy, also consisting of Ten dzień (This Day) and Kolejne 365 dni (Another 365 Days).

Currently, the movie is sitting at #1 on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies in Canada list, meaning that it’s being streamed frequently across the country.

Despite its popularity, 365 Days scored a critic rating of 0% and an audience score of 30% on Rotten Tomatoes.

If you’ve seen the film and have fallen for Massimo’s bold personality and good looks, we’ve got some good news.

According to Kultura, a sequel is currently in the works, although production came to a halt a few months back.

On the bright side, Fifty Shades Freed is currently available on Netflix to fill the void while you wait.

Other popular films on the site right now include Da 5 Bloods, Captain America: Civil War, and the Fast & Furious saga.
