After Roseanne Barr's recent racist Twitter rants, ABC has announced that it will be cancelling the hit sitcom. The statement reads:

"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show."

The cancellation comes after Barr took to Twitter to share some racist opinions and comments, which she has since apologized for. Barr said she would be "leaving Twitter".

ABC was not the only one who felt strongly about Barr's comments though, as famous actress Wanda Sykes took to Twitter earlier today as well to announce that she would be leaving the show.

This would not be the first time Barr has taken to Twitter to share her opinions; she is an avid Trump supporter, and regularly tweets about conspiracy theories and and many other controversial topics.

ABC executives have admitted to looking the other way when Barr tweets, stating that they simply wanted her to focus on her show. They've since realized that there's no controlling her, and although this is problematic, it is what makes her a successful comedian.
