One of the best things about Canadian artists, apart from the fact that they're Canadian, of course, is that when they go on tour, they usually make sure to include dates in smaller cities that usually get skipped when other artists come to Canada. These artists love to see the faces and hear the voices of their fans from coast to coast, and that kind of thing means a lot to audience members. A few months back, a popular Canadian artist announced a tour, and now the big day has finally arrived. City and Colour's 2019 Canadian tour kicks off in Victoria tonight and fans are ecstatic.

If you're into the alt-indie music scene, you may have heard of a group called City and Colour. This "group" actually just consists of Dallas Green, formerly of Alexisonfire, who was born in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Green was hesitant to release a solo album under his own name so he took his first name Dallas (a city), and his last name Green (a colour), to create the alias City and Colour.

Over the years, the Canadian artist has released plenty of albums, developed an ever-growing fan base, and toured the world countless times.

Over the summer, Green announced that he would be heading out on tour yet again, this time to promote his latest album that was released on October 4, A Pill for Loneliness.

The album debuted at #1 here in Canada and #8 in Australia and the U.S. and has received much acclaim from both new and old fans of Green.

The singer just finished playing a string of shows in the U.S., and tonight, November 8, he's beginning his Canadian leg of the tour in Victoria, B.C before heading off to Vancouver and Kelowna later this week.

Green will also be making stops in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia throughout the tour, wrapping up in Halifax on November 29.

Tickets for the Canadian dates are still on sale and can be purchased at this link. If you're in Victoria tonight and in need of some plans, grab yourself a ticket to City and Colour for as low as $41!
