If you're reading this right now, you may be feeling more than a little hungover from last night's Halloween shenanigans. For the most part, the spooky season is over with (unless you're one of the brave souls who's going out AGAIN this weekend), and people are feeling ready to get right into the next holiday that's coming up - Christmas. There are so many fun things to do during the winter season like skating and shopping, anyone can agree that one of the best things to do is watch Christmas movies, and lucky for you, Netflix is releasing plenty. Holiday in the Wild on Netflix Canada is receiving mixed reviews on Twitter.

The first movie out of Netflix's crazy holiday release schedule is a film called Holiday in the Wild starring Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis. Unlike most of the Christmas movies you've seen, this film doesn't take place in a winter wonderland. Instead, it takes place in Zambia, a country in East Africa that definitely doesn't see the kind of snow one would expect during the holidays.

In the film, Kate (played by Davis) flies to Zambia solo after unexpectedly splitting from her husband. Upon arrival, she meets Derek (Lowe), an elephant conservationist who she finds herself smitten with as they team up to save a baby elephant that was orphaned.

The entire movie is quite silly, and very Hallmark holiday movie-esque, but despite this, some people are really enjoying it.

"Crap Christmas romcom season is absolutely here because the first thing I saw when I opened Netflix this morning was Holiday in the Wild. Hook it to my veinnnnns," one user tweeted. "Netflix is already starting to transition into its Christmas movie phase and honestly I’m not even that mad about it. holiday in the wild looks cute af," added another.

Of course, there are some people who are not into the movie at all, and some critics have even gone as far as calling it "stupid, but charming".

"Is there a not interested option on Netflix? If I see that white saviour generalization stereotypical colonial ass holiday in the wild movie crap one more time I will probably cry," one very upset user tweeted.

The film has yet to be rated on Rotten Tomatoes, but it's scored a 6.2/10 on IMDb, which is pretty good for a cheesy holiday film.

Other Netflix releases you can look forward to in the coming weeks include Let It SnowKlaus, and The Knight Before Christmas, just to name a few. You can watch the trailer for Holiday in the Wild below.
