Over the past few months, many people have expressed varied opinions on the remake of the classic 1990 film. So far, just three cast members in the Home Alone reboot have been announced. That includes Ellie Kemper who really doesn't like the frigid Montreal weather that she's been living in.

In December, we learned that the reboot would be filmed in Quebec this year following the official announcement which came in August.

Shortly after, the cast was announced to include 11-year-old Jojo Rabbit star, Archie Yates. Also joining him will be Catastrophe star Rob Delaney and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper. No other actors have been confirmed by IMDb.

The cast has been pretty tight-lipped on social media about their roles in the reboot. But earlier this week, Kemper took to Instagram to share a little behind the scenes of production.

She shared a photo of her bundled up in a long black coat with winter boots standing beside makeup artist Katie Pellegrino. In the caption, Kemper wrote, "We’re not cold YOU’RE COLD (also we are freezing)" and she tagged #canada and #coldlife.

Pellegrino shared the same photo on her account with the caption, "Just another day in paradise with Canada’s Sweetheart, #Elliekemper" and tagged Montreal, Quebec as their location.

According to MTL Blog, the photo was taken in a residential suburb in Beaconsfield that's located on Montreal Island. They claim that a home is being used as the main set and was even set up with Christmas lights as part of the holiday theme of the movie.

Last week, MTL Blog also reported that "Parc St. Mark in Longueuil" was used for three days during production. That includes Café Terrasse 1957 "located on rue Saint-Charles O. in Longueuil" that was transformed by crew members into a coffee shop called Dark Roast Cafe.

The reboot will reportedly be released under a new name and won't strictly follow the same plot as the original film. It will follow a married couple who attempt to fend off a mischievous child who isn't actually left home alone.

Production began in February and according to ACTRA, will go until mid-April.
