Grab the tissues! Netflix's Father Soldier Son is their newest war documentary that's coming to the platform so soon. The film is set over the course of a decade and follows a single father of two sons who suffers a horrible injury while deployed.

Netflix just released the trailer for the upcoming one-hour-and-40-minute long film.

Coming from The New York Times, the intimate war documentary "follows one military family over the course of ten years, becoming an intergenerational exploration of the meaning of sacrifice, purpose and American manhood in the aftermath of war," per Netflix.

Master Sgt. Brian Eisch is the father of two young boys and sets out to fight for his country, but returns home after suffering an injury that results in the loss of one leg.

"It's a lot easier being a platoon sergeant than it is raising two boys by yourself," Eisch says in the trailer. "I'm trying to do my duty to my country and deploy and do what Uncle Sam asked me to do. But what's everybody asking my boys to do?"

His youngest son adds, "I worry about my dad at night. Because it's like dark and they can sneak. And then they can go [imitates gun shots]."

The trailer explains that the family's fear came true when Eisch got shot and lost his leg.

"All I remember is snap, snap, burn, chainsaw," he explains.

Eisch's oldest son says, "It was hard thinking he actually got a shot by a real bullet from a real gun from a real person."

He adds, "I do wanna have kids eventually. And I don't want my kids to go through what I went through."

The video shows Eisch's progression over the decade and eventually shows him become distant with his family as he battles possible PTSD.

The father of two admits, "I absolutely wish I was still in the army. I had an identity and now...who am I?"

According to The New York Times, journalists Catrin Einhorn and Leslye Davis first began following the Eisch family in 2010. They met the single father who left his sons back home as he deployed to Afghanistan.

Back home in New York, the young boys "offer a compelling lens into how one generation’s service in combat affects the lives of the next."

Father Soldier Son premieres on Netflix on July 17. Watch the trailer below.
