Strap in for a wild ride! Netflix’s Snowpiercer trailer just dropped and it comes from executive producer Bong Joon-ho so you can expect it to be just as chilling as Parasite. Luckily, you won’t have to wait long to enjoy it because the dystopian thriller series premieres so soon.\nThe two-minute-long trailer takes you on a literal ride aboard a non-stop moving train with famous faces and a series of emotional ups and downs and heartstopping moments.\n“Attention all passengers,” star Jennifer Connelly says at the opening of the video. “Wilford Industries wishes you good morning. Mr. Wilford would like to address the rumours of disturbances in the tail. Let me assure you, your security is our highest priority. Order will be restored.”\nCo-star Daveed Diggs takes over narration saying, “Seven years ago, the world ended. Now the train is all that’s left. First, the weather changed. In the final days of the freeze, the rich retreated to an ark. This is Snowpiercer. This is how we survive. There are those who have and those who suffer.”\nConnelly stars as Melanie Cavill who Variety writes is the head of hospitality on the train, speaking to passengers over the loudspeaker and dealing with their issues and complaints\nDiggs plays Andre Layton, a revolutionary leader of a “nascent protest movement” in the very last car of the train, per Variety. Yet he’s also a former homicide detective who will be useful comes the show’s horrifying twist when a murder onboard occurs.\nAccording to IMDb, the series follows the chilling story that is “Set over seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, [and] centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe.”\nConnelly and Diggs star in the 20 episodes opposite Mickey Sumner, Sheila Vand, Lena Hall, Alison Wright, and Iddo Goldberg.\nNetflix | YouTube\nThe trailer writes that the post-apocalyptic drama premieres on May 25, with IMDb claiming that one episode will drop on Netflix each week.\nIMDb notes that there are currently two seasons right now, but it looks like the second one will be released sometime in 2021.\nNetflix | YouTube\nThis series follows Bong Joon Ho’s 2013 movie of the same name.
