New Episodes Of Arrested Development Are Coming To Netflix Tomorrow
It feels like we've been waiting for new episodes of Arrested Development for years. The incredibly witty and hilarious TV show first aired all the way back in 2003.
The original show aired from 2003 to 2005 with the original cast and then went off the air. It wasn't until 2013, when the highly anticipated fourth season premiered, bringing back all of our favourite characters.
Unfortunately, fans were incredibly disappointed when the Rashomon-style episodes were released. The episodes were told in an unconventional way, where each episode told the story of one individual from the family, rather than having all of the characters together in one scene. Many fans chalked this up to, the actors were not able to make their schedules line up, so the story was told in this odd way.
Now, Mitch Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development has released a lengthy letter ahead of the Season Five release. This Friday, on the TV holiday, Cinco de Cuatro, they will be re-releasing a remixed version of season four of Arrested Development.
This new version was just put together by Hurwitz and it's going to be good. He has recut, edited, and shuffled around content from the original season 4 episodes, but made it come together as one continuous story. The original season had 15 individual stories but it will now be told as 22 interwoven stories, the normal length of the original series.
The new episodes will feature all of the Bluths in every episode and play out chronologically. Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences will be streaming on Netflix on Friday, May 4th.
The brand new season of Arrested Development does not have a premiere date yet, but Hurwitz assures us that it will be soon!
