Netflix has become known for its diverse original content over the years, and as of late, they’ve even been diving into some reality TV ventures. Next In Fashion on Netflix is the streaming service’s latest project, and one of the contestants just so happens to be Canadian born and bred.

If you haven’t checked out the new show yet, it’s a reality series hosted by Queer Eye’s Tan France and fashion designer Alexa Chung. In each episode, competing designers team up to create iconic looks that will keep them from getting eliminated.

At the end of the first season, the winner walks away with an awesome $250,000 prize, as well as the opportunity to debut their collection with Net-a-Porter.

According to the Independent, 18 contestants are competing in the first season of Next In Fashion, including Angel Chen, Daniel Fletcher, Carli Pearson, and Julian Woodhouse.

The only Canadian to make it onto the show is Charles Lu, who, according to his website, was born in Hamilton, Ontario. At the age of 18, he moved to London to study fashion and work before heading to Dubai to expand his resume further.

Despite his time spent working abroad, Lu still makes it a point to visit his hometown and other hot spots in Ontario, according to his Instagram.

Next In Fashion has only been on Netflix for a few hours now, but some viewers have already fallen in love with the Canadian designer’s work and charm.

“Oh I have a new crush.. Charles Lu of Next In Fashion..” one viewer tweeted.

“I loved your work on ‘Next In Fashion’ - great job man!”, added another, congratulating Lu on his creations this season.

Not much is known about Lu’s private life, but according to his Instagram the designer is almost 29-years old, he wears black and grey almost exclusively, and when he’s not creating stunning garments, he loves spending time at the gym.

All 10 episodes of Next In Fashion are available for streaming on Netflix now. You can check out the trailer for the reality series below.
