Rachel McAdams Returns To Her "Mean Girls" Comedy Roots In Hilarious New Movie
It looks pretty epic.
Rachel McAdams is one of the most versatile actresses in Hollywood. Though she's principally known as a dramatic actress, many people aren't aware that she has actually has strong roots in comedy.
Her portrayal of Regina George in Mean Girls may have been her claim to fame, but she's been involved in a slew of other hit comedy films, including Wedding Crashers, Morning Glory and The Hot Chick (a personal favourite of mine).
Now, Rachel McAdams is once again flexing her comedic chops in her new movie Game Night, in which she stars alongside Jason Bateman. The trailer was just recently released and, from the looks of it, the movie is going to be one hilarious ride.
It's about a couple who attends a friend's game night in which the game is a sort of "kidnapping murder mystery" intended to be super realistic. What the couple eventually finds out, however, is that the kidnapping is in fact real and that they must work together to solve the actual crime that just took place in front of their very eyes.
As you'd expect, hilarity and chaos ensues, with the trailer showing McAdams flailing around a pistol, Bateman's hand getting shot, and a man getting swooped into a jet turbine.
The movie seems to have a similar base concept to movies like Date Night and Rough Night, and by the looks of the trailer, it seems like it's going to be a pretty promising comedy.
Game Night hits the big screens on March 2, 2018.
