You May Be Able To Spot "Bird Box" Star Sandra Bullock Filming In Vancouver This Spring

Although she hasn’t appeared in anything since 2018’s Bird Box, Sandra Bullock’s new movie will make you fall in love with her all over again. The actress is currently working on an untitled project for Netflix, and as if that wasn’t already enough good news, it’s being .
According to the Deadline, Bullock will play a woman named Ruth Slater who, after spending years serving time in jail, is being reintegrated into a society that refuses to forgive her for her past mistakes.
Other stars listed on the untitled film’s IMDb page include Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale), Rob Morgan (Mudbound), Linda Emond (Julie & Julia), and Craig March (Along Came a Spider).
Not only will the movie be filmed in British Columbia, but it also stars a Canadian actor — Toby Hargrave. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta and is known for his work on Altered Carbon, The Twilight Zone, and Loudermilk.
According to the Director’s Guild of Canada, Bullock’s latest venture began filming on Monday, February 3 and will wrap up on April 9 of this year.
The Vancouver Sun reports that the project is being directed by Nora Fingscheidt and was written by Christopher McQuarrie.
Thestar isn’t the only celebrity hanging out in Vancouver this spring — it was recently revealed that will also be heading to Canada’s west coast to film the Mighty Ducks Disney+ reboot.
According to the Vancouver Sun, Disney+ will also be using Vancity as the filming location for their upcoming live-action, which is set to begin production on April 13, 2020.
It’s also worth noting that pilot season begins filming next month, and if this year is anything like last year, that means Vancouver will be loaded with actors filming all over the city.
The Vancouver Sun reported that in 2019, the city had 10 pilots filming — more than any other production hub in North America.
