Although it's great, the not-so-fun part about Netflix is having to wait a year for new seasons of your favourite original shows to come out. Luckily, the Sex Education season two trailer was just released, meaning that new episodes are right around the corner.

Back in January of 2019, the streaming service released a new series about a group of high school students facing the typical woes of teenagers — finding themselves, falling in love, and of course, understanding their sexuality.

The show's first season scored a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and received plenty of praise for its hilarious but relatable storylines, so when it was announced that a second season would be coming to the platform, fans got seriously excited.

Earlier this morning, Netflix released the trailer for the newest episodes, and from the looks of things, Sex Education is about to be filled with even more hilarious drama and awkward teenage moments.

In season two, we see Otis continue to struggle as his peers come to him for advice on sex education due to his mom's role as a professional therapist in the industry. Unfortunately for Otis, his mother also begins sleeping with his new girlfriend's dad, resulting in some seriously messy drama.

As if all of this isn't enough to deal with, Otis also has to deal with his strained relationship with his ex-girlfriend Maeve, as well as a chlamydia outbreak at their high school.

Just from the trailer alone, it looks like season two is really kicking things up a notch and becoming even more raunchy and comedic than the first.

If you're looking for something to watch while you wait for the new episodes, be sure to check out Messiah and Spinning Out, two new original shows that are loaded with drama.

Sex Education season two hits Netflix on January 17. You can check out the trailer for the hit series below.
