Dozens Of Canadian Celebs Will Virtually Unite For TV Special Fundraiser This Weekend

Canadian celebrities including Michael Bublé, Céline Dion, and Shania Twain among dozens more are participating in the Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble TV special this weekend. The broadcast will help raise funds for Food Banks Canada and pay tribute to front-line workers in the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to CBC, the one-hour, commercial-free event will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 and broadcast on multiple Canadian channels.
The program will feature appearances by Canadian artists, activists, actors, and athletes.
You can look forward to seeing musicians including Alessia Cara, Arkells, Barenaked Ladies, Bryan Adams, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Céline Dion, Jann Arden, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Sarah McLachlan, and Shania Twain.
Actors making appearances include Catherine O'Hara, Eric McCormack, Eugene Levy, Howie Mandel, Jason Priestley, Kiefer Sutherland, Martin Short, Mike Myers, Russell Peters, and Will Arnett.
Famous Canadian activists and athletes who will participate include Bianca Andreescu, Connor McDavid, David Suzuki, Hayley Wickenheiser, Margaret Atwood, Penny Oleksiak, Rick Hansen, and Tessa Virtue among many more.
The event will act as a fundraiser asking viewers to donate to Food Banks Canada which "supports the local food banks across the nation that are seeing an uptake in demand at the same time as needed volunteers dwindle amid the pandemic," per CBC.
Chris Hatch, CEO of Food Banks Canada, said in a statement that "Frontline workers, across so many sectors including food banking, have been drastically impacted by COVID-19. They need our support and we are thankful for Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble for helping our most vulnerable neighbours."
This TV special comes after thewhich was a five-night broadcast to support Food Banks Canada and Unison Benevolent Fund's COVID-19 relief efforts.
Featured artists included Shania Twain, Luke Combs, Lady Antebellum, and Morgan Wallen.
