You sit down every week to pop on a new episode of your favourite show, but have you ever stopped to wonder where the production takes place? For many TV series, Hollywood is a hotspot and go-to place to film, but Canada is ramping up in popularity and a lot of content takes place here. That includes The Good Doctor filming locations that are in BC and it's in production right now.\nThe ABC series first premiered in 2017 and is actually based on a show from South Korea with the same name.\nIt stars Freddie Highmore who you know from magical movies including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Spiderwick Chronicles, and The Golden Compass. He took on the role of a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome who escapes his troubled childhood to start a medical career in California.\nThe 27-year-old stars opposite Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas, Chuku Modu, and Beau Garrett.\nAccording to IMDB, the San Francisco Bay Area and San Jose are used for establishing shots to show the viewer where the show is set. Studios are making #Surrey a filming hub as the City is accommodating, has excellent spaces and supports local jobs! Other locations they include that have been used in single episodes are "BC Place Stadium, Boundary Bay Regional Airport in Delta, Cleveland Avenue in Squamish, Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, and East Lawn Building in Coquitlam."\nAccording to What's Filming, production on season three began in June 2019 and will go until March 3.\nCheck out the trailer for the newest season and look out for BC hotspots!
