The film is called The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, and it's based on the book that tells the true story of William Kamkwamba. It takes place in Malawi, a country in southeastern Africa. In Malawi, a drought is taking place, making it impossible to grow any crops - because of this, William and the people of his village are experiencing a famine.
William is a very bright young man, but unfortunately, his family doesn't have the money for him to continue going to school. He is forced to stay at home with his family, and work on the farm all day so that they might possibly grow some food. Despite his father's protests, William finds a way to harness the wind so that all the people in his village might grow some crops.
