Escapade Music Festival Just Announced Their New Headliner After Martin Garrix Cancelled His Spot
He's a Grammy Award winner!
Canada's biggest EDM festival has been in panic mode this past week after they lost their headliner. Martin Garix, who was the original headliner for the Escapade Music Festival, tore ligaments that required surgery at a show in Las Vegas. Now a week later the festival has announced who will be replacing Garix. Tiesto will be headlining at the Escapade Music Festival.
Garixs' injury and cancelation sent the festival runners into a frenzy to find the right replacement and told attendees that they were, "working hard" to find someone. Well, it looks like they did!
They made their announcement on their Instagram account last night. They captioned the promotional photo, "None other than @tiesto has stepped in to headline, in place of the injured @martingarrix as our Sunday night Headliner! 11 days to go until the BIGGEST Escapade ever!"
Tiesto is a Grammy award-winning DJ and producer from the Netherlands who has been called, "the Godfather of EDM" by many fans. He has a huge online following with over 6 million Instagram followers and even performed at the Olympics in 2004! He hasn't commented about this new gig yet but he's probably still busy hanging with Celine Dion after her final show in Las Vegas.
Their announcement comes just over a week before the festival kicks off on June 22nd at the TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario.
Alongside Tiesto, other performers at the festival include DJ Snake, Kayzo, TCHAMI X MALAA, and ZedsDead. Escapade is calling this their biggest festival yet!
