IT'S HAPPENING! Toronto is T-minus nine days away from their biggest event. The Toronto International Film festival happens once a year for two weeks which means that A-list celebrities will be casually strolling downtown Toronto this September. While you can catch a glimpse of the celebs walking the red carpet, that usually requires shoving, long lineups, and a lot of waiting. When the celebs aren't required to be at the festival they're exploring the city. Here are celebrity hotspots in Toronto that you can visit during TIFF 2019.

The Drake Hotel 

Address: 1150 Queen Street West

The Drake Hotel, despite its name, is actually a popular lounge and club. Their rooftop patio makes this a hotspot year-round. During TIFF The Drake has been known to host celebs like Adam Driver, Taylor Kitsch and Donald Sutherland.  

The Hazelton Hotel & ONE restaurant 

Address: 118 Yorkville Avenue 

The Hazelton Hotel is most known for its boujee restaurant ONE. While not many celebs stay the night, they've been frequently seen having dinner together here in between screenings. Celebs like Emily Blunt, Adam Sandler, Mark Wahlberg, and Robert De Niro are frequent customers. 

Montecito 

Address: 299 Adelaide Street West

This restaurant is a popular hotspot for BIG names. This location has a rustic feel and is just around the corner from the TIFF Bell Lightbox. George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet, Idris Elba, and more can be expected to make appearances at this restaurant in September.

The Ritz-Carleton 

Address: 181 Wellington Street West

The Ritz-Carleton is the hotel where most celebrity guests do stay overnight. While the hotel is only open to paying guests you can make a reservation at one of their restaurants if you're hoping to catch a glimpse of an A-lister. George Clooney and Angelina Jolie spend their nights at this hotel every year!

Momofuku Noodle Bar

Address: 190 University Avenue Toronto

Momofuku Noodle Bar is actually its second location, the original residing in NYC. It's a hotspot for TIFF after parties and cast dinners. Actors like Matt Damon, Emma Stone, Alec Baldwin, and Robert Downey Jr. tend to occupy this location. 

Michael's on Simcoe

Address: 100 Simcoe Street C111

This is Toronto's best steakhouse and its always occupied by TIFF's biggest names in September. Morgan Freeman, Julianne Morre, and Johnny Depp have all been spotted eating dinner here. 

Bar Reyna 

Address: 158 Cumberland Street

Bar Reyna is a hot spot for celebs looking for a pre or post-screening drink. Its location offers a little more privacy to celebs looking for a relaxing time. Bar Reyna has been hosted guests like Matt Damon, Shia LeBeouf, and Benedict Cumberbatch. 

The Thompson Toronto

Address: 550 Wellington Street West

This Hotel, like The Ritz-Carlton, is where most celebrities stay for the duration of TIFF. Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Kate Hudson, and Meryl Streep are all expected to be guests at The Thompson in September.
