Jaw-dropper alert! The Suite Life of Zack & Cody Tipton Hotel that you know and love from the comedy series has some Canadian roots since it's an exterior shot of the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The infamous hotel located in downtown Vancity has been around for decades and is a notable landmark. The Disney Channel series is a key part of many millennials' childhoods having first appeared on screens in 2005. For three seasons we followed the antics of twin brothers, Zack and Cody, as they navigated a unique life living in the hotel where their single mother Carey worked as a lounge singer. After their hotel adventures ended, the twins moved to the SS Tipton cruise ship in 2008 on The Suite Life on Deck. According to E! News, May 6 marks the nine-year anniversary of the finale episode when the ship disembarked and we said goodbye to Zack, Cody, and the rest of the kooky crew. That includes hotel manager Mr. Moseby, bellman Esteban Ramirez, hotel heiress London Tipton, candy counter worker Maddie Fitzpatrick, and clumsy hotel engineer Arwin Hawkhauser. The dysfunctional but lovable cast was housed in a hotel that's set in Boston. But Movie Maps claims that in real life, the exterior shots you see during the intro and in-between scenes actually feature the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Disney Channel | YouTube According to the hotel's official website, the building has been a symbol of "timeless elegance and luxury" since 1939.
