It turns out it's not just fans of The Office that have been freaking out with excitement over the news that NBC is planning a reboot of the franchise. The cast of the show is apparently equally as excited, and there are some MAJOR names from the show now expressing their interest in coming back to Dunder Mifflin!

The series that is planning to be shot for 2018/ 2019 has been in talks for the past few months and characters from the show quickly showed their interest in joining in on the fun. Characters like Angela and Creed said they would be more than down to join the new season, but now there are even bigger names interested.

We're talking Jim AND Pam, and no we are not kidding. Jenna Fischer was quoted back in January during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter after being asked about it saying, "I think the idea of an Office revival is a great idea. I would be honored to come back in any way that I am able to." Going on to add, "I loved playing that character and as long as Greg Daniels is the person in charge and the visionary behind it, then I would absolutely be up for it."

While John Krasinski had remained pretty quiet about the whole subject, he finally spilled the beans after he was asked about rejoining his cast mates on Ellen. His response was short but sent every fan of The Office into a frenzy of excitement after he responded with, "oh my God, are you kidding? I'd love to get that gang back together." @theofficeshow_embedded via

So it's safe to say the iconic couple from The Office are game to join so long as NBC asks them, so NBC what are you waiting for?! While we haven't heard anything from Steve Carell or Rainn Wilson, we're sure other characters from the franchise would be more than happy to hop on like Kelly, Ryan, Kevin, Toby, and Andy. @theofficeshow_embedded via

Though Jenna nailed it on the head when she added in her interview that what made The Office so great wasn't just the people on screen: "We just have to get Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Gene Stupnitsky, and Lee Eisenberg, Mike Schur to write some episodes. That show was so great because of the talent involved behind the scenes, not just on the screen."

While we are quite a while away from seeing the new reboot let alone knowing who's officially in the cast, it's safe to say the original cast members are interested enough for us Office fans to get a fair shot at a real reboot. Until then we'll just have to wait and see!
