For people who say Ottawa is boring, hold my glow stick.\nSummer is for sure Ottawa's best season. The weather is beautiful, there is always something going on and to top it off, we have amazing festivals that you can't even compare. Especially Glowfair.\nvia @bzrinyi\nGlowfair, which has been around for 4 years now, will take place June 16th and June 17th along Bank Street. Stretching 10 blocked off streets, you'll enjoy the enchanted world of music, light, and art. Downtown Ottawa turns into a nightclub outside for just two days and two nights, and even better, this is all free.\nEvery year, Glowfair brings new performers and activities to animate Ottawa’s downtown core. At this year's free event, you can expect: two stages where live bands and DJ’s will be performing all weekend long; a synthetic ice skating rink; glow in the dark yoga; an Escape Manor experience; silent disco; street art and performances; 10 unique theme blocks to explore, and so much more. You can check out their artist line-up here!\nvia @_saracampbell\nThis festival will be unlike any other in Ottawa. Glowfair is an explosion of the senses, a luminescent landscape that brings thousands of people together to celebrate art, light, and music. Each block will take you on a journey from an enchanted glow forest, to the energy zone and of course to a Canadianna block which will celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary, and more!\nGlowfair will give you an experience in Ottawa that you didn't think was possible. And it's all for free! The lights, music, and activities will be sure to make your Instagram stand out this year.\nvia @matassaphotography\nIf you are one of those people who say there is nothing to do in Ottawa, think again. Glowfair just gave you the best weekend you'll have this summer, and it's all for free! There is something for everyone, and I promise you'll have the time of your life.\nvia @asrtddance\nFrom the 10 streets blocked off, which is Slater to James Street, you'll experience what Ottawa is really about.\nvia @glowfairfestival\nCheck out Glowfair’s website and the festival’s Facebook event page to stay up to date on this year's lineup.
