The city has not been a friendly place for skaters this winter, you know, with all that snow and ice and cold crap, and while temperatures are thankfully on the rise, the streets are still not all that pretty. Well good news kids, if you just can't wait to bust out your deck and/or BMX any longer, Toronto now has an all-new indoor skate park open for your pleasure. Even better, it won't cost you a dime.
Mountain Dew Canada decided they couldn't wait all the way until summer to start hitting up some banks, so created The Dew Underground, a totally innovative and interactive pop-up skate park located in downtown Toronto. The Dew Underground will offer skaters and BMX riders an authentic park experience completely open to the public and free of charge.
Apart from two custom-built vert ramps (4-ft and 7-ft) and a mini street course to cruise around, the Dew Underground will also feature a pro-shop, weekly DIY workshops, video-editing stations, and a laid-back gaming lounge. Add some weekly trick competitions and live band nights for your entertainment, and you got some seriously good times on your hands.
The Dew Underground will be open daily to the public but only for a short time, so make sure you take advantage before it all gets packed up and moved on to the next town.
