It may be easy to assume that the reason Canadian celebrities who donate to charities do it because they know it'll get the attention of more people, or simply because they have enough money to do so. In some cases, celebrities advocate and donate to specific charities because they relate to the causes personally.
Everyone has a backstory, including celebs, and everyone wishes they could do something to advocate for causes they or their loved ones have been affected by. Some of the things these Canadian celebs have done for the world are nothing short of amazing and we should be proud of their accomplishments. Seth Rogen isn't just one of theto come out of Canada, he's also a huge supporter of Alzheimer's research. He used to simply host and donate to a variety of foundations supporting Alzheimer's until recently when he decided to found his own in 2017.
Seth Rogen runs the Hilarity for Charity foundation that holds yearly fundraisers. Their goal is to host comedy and music nights and have all proceeds donated to Alzheimer's research.

Ryan Reynolds is known for supporting several charities. He advocates for many different foundations including seal hunting and environmental advocacy. This year, Reynolds narrated ancentred on the Great Bear Rainforest in B.C. He also contributes to children's hospitals across North America.
