It may be easy to assume that the reason Canadian celebrities who donate to charities do it because they know it'll get the attention of more people, or simply because they have enough money to do so. In some cases, celebrities advocate and donate to specific charities because they relate to the causes personally.

Everyone has a backstory, including celebs, and everyone wishes they could do something to advocate for causes they or their loved ones have been affected by. Some of the things these Canadian celebs have done for the world are nothing short of amazing and we should be proud of their accomplishments. Many of them have even started foundations of their own, for causes that they've either experienced first-hand or have witnessed.

With these iconic celebrities paving the way for Canadian advocates, Canada's future is looking extremely bright. Check out some of the foundations that Canadian Celebrities support and learn about how you can help out too.

Seth Rogen

Seth Rogen isn't just one of the funniest people to come out of Canada, he's also a huge supporter of Alzheimer's research. He used to simply host and donate to a variety of foundations supporting Alzheimer's until recently when he decided to found his own in 2017.

Seth Rogen runs the Hilarity for Charity foundation that holds yearly fundraisers. Their goal is to host comedy and music nights and have all proceeds donated to Alzheimer's research.

Like a lot of celebrities, Drake is all over the place with his donations, not sticking to one specific cause. In the past, he's donated to foreign learning centres to promote education, helped out a gospel mission in Chicago, and has even helped individual families. He's also participated in celebrity charity softball games and helped fund relief centres for Hurricane Harvey.

His biggest contribution was the $1 million he donated from his God's Plan video budget. That money went homeless shelters, paying for students' tuition, groceries for people in need, and helping families in poverty.

Justin Bieber has always been an extremely charitable celeb. Over the years, he's supported charities like Make-a-Wish Foundation, ALS Association, Alzheimer's Association, World Vision, Jump Start, and Red Cross. He also took part in the "We Are the World 25 for Haiti" recording to raise money for Haiti in 2010.
