Of the many characters on the show, Amelia Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy is arguably one of the most complex, and after last night’s episode, viewers aren’t too impressed with her. If you haven’t been keeping up with the Shondra Rhimes drama, note that there are some seriously major spoilers ahead.

Amelia has been pregnant for some time now, and last night she decided that she doesn’t want to know who the father of her unborn child is. But when her boyfriend Link wanted to know whether he is the father or not, she broke up with him, frustrating not only Link but many viewers as well.

Amelia’s logic in all of this is that if Link wants to know, it means that he doesn’t love her unconditionally. If that’s the case, Amelia wants to raise the baby alone, without Link in their life at all.

People on Twitter are heavily criticizing Amelia and even pointed out an earlier plotline in the show when she called out Teddy for hiding her pregnancy.

“I’m curious to know what haters would say if Teddy reacted at Amelia’s pregnancy new the way she reacted to hers. Demanding answers and getting all offended for having hiding it from Owen,” one person tweeted.

Funnily enough, the actress who plays Amelia on the show is Canadian actress Caterina Scorsone and she recently gave birth to a baby of her own.

Scorsone regularly shares what her life as a mother is like on her Instagram page, and her comment section is full of love from her supportive fans and fellow mothers.

In her most recent post, the 38-year-old actress shared a photo of her breastfeeding her child while on the Grey’s Anatomy set.

“Doin’ the workn’ mamma juggle with incredible force, gentleness, and grace! Brava!💪🔥💥❤️,” one person commented.

“You deserve so much better than the storylines they’re writing you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️,” commented another.

You can catch new episodes of the hit medical drama on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
