The next Canadian Adele is here! American Idol's Lauren Spencer-Smith blew away all three judges with her audition that premiered this weekend. The 16-year-old from BC has pipes that you need to hear.

Spencer-Smith hails from Nanaimo on Vancouver Island where she lives with her family. She auditioned for the singing competition back in November after learning that they were finally accepting Canadian applicants.

With her own rendition of P!nk's "What About Us", the teen left judge Luke Bryan speechless and even had Katy Perry and Lionel Richie forget that she was so young.

Wherever her American Idol journey takes her is sure to be a hit. In fact, The Canadian Press claims that she's already working with writers to release her own original songs after the show.

Here are seven more facts about the upcoming star.
