Riverdale's Camila Mendes Is Filming A New Netflix Movie In Vancouver & You Need To See The First On-Set Photos
We can't wait!
If you're a huge Riverdale fan, then you definitely know that they shoot all of their scenes in Vancouver, Canada. It's basically the casts second home at this point, and they rave about the city all the time. The cast is currently on hiatus and most of them have gone back home. However, one actor is staying in Vancouver just a little longer. Camila Mendes is filming a Netflix movie in Vancouver.
This isn't Camila's first time in a Netflix movie! She recently starred inwith Netflix's number one guy, Noah Centineo. However, in her new movie, she has the lead role! The new Netflix movie is called Windfall, and it sounds so interesting.
Windfall is about a girl named Katie who gives up her dreams of being in the medical field to support her husband's dreams. Her and her husband, Adam, really struggle with making a name for themselves in this big world. However, they seem to get it together when they end up in a huge crime case. The plot definitely takes a huge turn.
Alongside Camila is actor Jessie Usher, who is an up and coming actor. It will be interesting to see Camila not in her role as Veronica Lodge in Riverdale, which she has played for three seasons. A fourth season has been confirmed and it will start filming in the fall.
Here are a couple of on-set photos from the production of Windfall:
These photos obviously don't give too much away, but it makes us so excited for the movie! There aren't any details on when it will be on the streaming site, but filming just started. We can probably expect this movie late this year or early 2020.
Even though Camila Mendes loves Canada, there is one thing she's found wrong with the country. And that would be easy access to Game of Thrones. The highly anticipated episode that premiered last Sunday was not easy for her to get, and she even tweeted her struggle with it.
A fan told her she can use a Crave account, but Camila sadly responded saying she needs a Canadian credit card. Ah, the struggles of being an American in Canada.
